About Dr. Shirin Asgarian, PhD, L.Ac.
With more than 38 years of healthcare and clinical experience, Dr. Shirin Asgarian brings a broad clinical perspective and a compassionate approach to every patient she serves.
Dr. Asgarian earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and spent 15 years working in the Pulmonary Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she developed extensive experience in patient care and Western medical practice.
Her interest in a more integrative approach to health led her to further pursue education in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. She earned her PhD in Oriental Medicine and became a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in California.
Her background in both Western healthcare and Traditional Chinese Medicine allows her to consider each patient’s health from multiple perspectives. She incorporates acupuncture and other TCM-based approaches while taking into account the patient’s medical history, existing diagnoses, lifestyle, and individual health goals.
